Blackmagic Camera app updated with new features, OnePlus and Xiaomi phone support | Infinium-tech
Last month Blackmagic Design, a popular maker of cinema cameras, announced an Android app that can record H.264 and H.265 video and integrates with the company’s Davinci Resolve video editor and related cloud services. Version 1.0 worked only on select Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones.
Now the company is rolling out Blackmagic Camera 1.1, which adds more devices to the supported list and adds several new features. With v1.1, the app supports the Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a, Samsung’s Galaxy S21 and S22 series, OnePlus 11 and 12, and Xiaomi 13 and 14 series.

The main new features are HDMI monitoring, pull focus transition control, and improved Blackmagic Cloud organization. You can now store clips to external storage as well. Here’s the full changelog:

- Ability to dim the screen while recording.
- Optional image noise reduction.

- Ability to not generate proxies while recording.
- Save the clip to any location, including external storage.
- Improve general performance.
