Xiaomi 17 Ultra to support direct satellite connection and more | Infinium-tech
The Xiaomi 17 series has been all the rage lately, and rumors about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra have also started surfacing, even though the handset is expected to launch in early 2026. For example, a leak earlier this week suggests a slightly upgraded camera setup.

Now, the handset has reportedly received approval from a Chinese regulatory body to use direct satellite connections. According to the listing, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will support Tiantong-1 and Beidou connectivity for satellite calls and messages. The listing also reveals UWB support, which is a new feature for Xiaomi flagship phones.
However, there is a caveat here. Approval includes a model number 25128PNA1CWhich is different from what was seen earlier in September. This could mean that the device is the only China version with satellite connection support, or it will come in two versions.
It’s too early to tell, so stay tuned for more leaks of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the coming weeks and months.
