Perplexity announces Perplexity Health, a feature specifically designed to answer medical questions in the most medically accurate and evidence-based way. This feature collects health data from different apps, devices, and platforms. The AI ​​assistant tracks metrics and trends over time. With all that information, Perplexity Health is supposed to provide the user with reliable personal health information.

One of the health services used by Perplexity is Apple’s Health platform. The so-called Perplexity Computer, which is the company’s AI agent tool, can create personalized fitness plans, nutrition plans, and more. Perplexity Health is being rolled out first to Pro and Max users in the US.

Integration with other health services, including Oura and Function, is expected in the near future. But for now, it only takes data from Apple Health, Fitbit, Ultrahuman, and Withings.

Since health is a very sensitive topic, Perplexity has put in great efforts to ensure that its AI bot will give users accurate and relevant information. The bot has been trained on electronic health records from more than 1.7 million care providers, premium medical literature, clinical guidelines, and peer-reviewed journals. The company has also created a Perplexity Health Advisory Board with physicians, researchers and health technology experts. They monitor Perplexity Health’s decisions, the quality of content, and whether clinical safeguards are in place.

Perplexity’s announcement comes on the heels of partnering with Samsung and integrating its agentic AI into the Galaxy AI ecosystem.
