Even though Honor promised to move fast, the Honor Magic V2 took quite a while to reach Europe – the phone originally launched in late July 2023 and only arrived in Europe in late January 2024. Its successor is going to make the journey much quicker.

Honor will be attending IFA and is bringing three flagship devices: the Honor Magic V3, Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 and the new Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The big launch event is scheduled for September 5, just before IFA 2024 officially begins.

The Honor Magic V3 is surprisingly thin for a foldable, 9.2mm, and very light too, 226g. That’s closer to regular bar phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm, 232g) or iPhone 15 Pro Max (8.3mm, 221g) than foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold6 (12.1mm, 239g) or Pixel 9 Pro Fold (10.5mm, 257g).

Still, it has a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a large 5,150mAh battery (more than any of the phones mentioned above), and even better, it has a capable camera system – 50MP main, 50MP 3.5x periscope, and 40MP ultra wide.

What’s not to like? The price, we’re guessing. The Magic V2 launched at £1,700/€2,000, so the V3 probably won’t be cheap. But it could be the best foldable in the European market, we’ll see. Also, there’s no word on whether the cheaper Magic Vs3 will join the V3’s global journey.

Let’s quickly introduce the other two important devices. The Honor MagicPad 2 has a 12.3-inch 144Hz OLED display (IMAX Enhanced, 1,600 nits), Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, eight speakers, and a 10,050mAh battery with 66W charging.

Like the Magic V3, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024 is very thin and light – 12.95 mm and 1.03 kg (0.51” and 2.27 lbs). It has a 14.6” OLED display (3:2) with no visible webcam, but it does have one – the webcam is a detachable module that stores on the left side of the laptop and uses magnets and pogo pins to attach to the top of the display when needed. Thanks, Honor. Anyway, the laptop can be configured with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H with Intel Arc graphics, 16GB or 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
