Samsung reportedly cancels Galaxy S26 Edge | Infinium-tech
Samsung may have overtaken Apple in the thin and light phone trend with the Galaxy S25 Edge, but it looks like it won’t be bringing a successor any time soon. According to multiple reports, the Galaxy S26 Edge has been canceled due to the low sales volumes of the S25 Edge. South Korean newspim The report states that Samsung is apparently preparing to discontinue the Edge series completely after all the stock of the S25 Edge is gone.
An unnamed Samsung official was quoted:
I’m not sure if the slim line (aka age lines) will ever come back, but as of now it seems unlikely. It’s practically over. -Unknown Samsung official
Despite the ongoing uncertainty, reports from Korea suggest that Samsung has already completed its Galaxy S26 Edge development and will likely launch the device at some point in the future, but not under the Edge lineup.

This news isn’t that surprising as we’ve already seen reports from earlier this year confirming the S25 Edge’s struggling sales.
According to data from Hana Investment & Securities, S25 Edge shipments as of August were 1.31 million units. These figures are lower than those of the Galaxy S25 (8.28 million), S25+ (5.05 million) and S25 Ultra (12.18 million).

Samsung is now expected to launch three Galaxy S26 devices in January with the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
