OnePlus 15R in for review | Infinium-tech
Today, we have the OnePlus 15R, which is the successor to the flagship OnePlus 15 that was launched last month. This model follows the formula set by previous R-series models, being the halfway point between flagship and mid-range devices. For now, we can show the design of the device and talk about some of its specs, but the rest of the discussion will have to wait for the full review once the phone is officially launched.

OnePlus shipped the phone in a special media kit that came in this huge black box and included the phone, its two magnetic charging cases, and a few trinkets. This is not retail packaging, and if you purchase it you will only get the phone seen above.
The OnePlus 15R comes in three colors: Mint Breeze, as seen here, Charcoal Black, and Electric Violet. The Electric Violet variant will be sold as the Ace Edition and is exclusive to India. Sand Storm Like the OnePlus 15, the Electric Violet 15R has a fiberglass back while the other two colors get standard glass backs.

The design of the OnePlus 15R continues the design language introduced by OnePlus this year, with the same vertically stacked cameras on the back and a square camera bump extending outward from them. The dual camera system on the back uses the same DetailMax engine and supports 4K 120fps video recording like the flagship OnePlus 15.

Talking about the camera, here are some sample images from the rear camera.
The OnePlus 15R runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and it is also the first phone to launch with it globally. Along with this, the phone also has a dedicated Wi-Fi chip and a dedicated touch response chip. The phone has a 165Hz display and the company promises a consistent 120fps experience in games. All this is powered by a 7400mAh battery. Lastly, the phone is IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certified.

Getting back to matters for a minute, you have two options to choose from. The first is the hole-pattern magnetic case, which is similar to what we saw for the OnePlus 15. It has a pattern on the back, and it comes with red rubber bits that you insert into it to create the pattern of your choice. The second is the Sandstone Magnetic Case, which is a straightforward case in OnePlus’ hallmark Sandstone finish. Of course, you don’t need to buy a case, as there is one available in the box.

We’ll have more details to share once the device officially launches next week. Stay tuned!
