Samsung’s upcoming Brain Health feature detects early signs of dementia | Infinium-tech
At CES next month, where it’s launching a product in its own standalone exhibit space, Samsung is now rumored to be showcasing a new Brain Health feature that detects early signs of dementia.
It will work by analyzing various metrics, and will join several other preventive health care features from Samsung, including blood pressure monitoring, ECG, and irregular heart rhythm notifications.

The new Brain Health feature will use data collected by Samsung smartphones and smartwatches, including gait patterns, changes in the user’s voice, and sleep status. Based on the analysis of this data, it will identify early signs of cognitive decline and dementia.
If this happens, it will provide guidance on preventive measures (which, it appears, may be too late) as well as a customized “brain training” program to help improve cognitive abilities (if it works). The feature was reportedly developed in-house by the Korean company and is now conducting clinical validation trials in partnership with medical institutions. It’s unclear when Brain Health will actually be released.
