iQOO 12 finally gets stable OriginOS 6 update based on Android 16 | Infinium-tech
When Vivo and iQOO announced that OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 will be launched globally, ending the OriginOS/FuntouchOS split, the brands also revealed a rollout timeline for existing devices. However, that was misleading.
For example, the iQOO 12 from 2023 was expected to get the OriginOS 6 update in mid-November. And it did indeed come out then, but it wasn’t a stable build – instead, it was a public beta that you could select from the phone’s settings.

The rollout of the stable version has begun today for international iQOO 12 units, as evidenced by the screenshots taken on our unit, which you can see above. So, if you’ve been sitting around since mid-November wondering where the OriginOS 6 update is, it’s finally on its way.

The new manufacture of our unit is PD2307CF_EX_A_16.2.11.1.W20 with model number I2220. The update also brings with it the November 1, 2025 security patch level.
