Weekly poll results: Apple Watches surprisingly popular, Google and Samsung need to step up their game | Infinium-tech
While the smartphone has changed a lot in the same formula, there is a wide variety of smart watch/band/ring/etc. Equipment there. And the results of the previous week survey are quite interesting.
Most of our readers who use smart wearable have an Apple watch. We are sure that most of our readers have Android phones, but obviously, they do not use smart wearbals.
On the one hand, the wear OS is surprisingly low – almost half of the popularity of Apple’s Watchose watches. Other advanced smartwatch platforms (eg Huawei) are also more popular than the platform that is mainly supported by Google and Samsung.

Here is another result that we did not expect – smart bands are more popular than basic smartwatch. Unlike their wearer OS/Watches counterparts, basic smartwatches essentially provide similar functionality as smart bands.
Their only real advantage is aesthetics – if you want a round watch on your wrist. Some smart bands provide great battery life despite small batteries and they are cheap and small to boot.
Smart Rings are a very new category, so they are still a blip on the radar, as required. It will be interesting to see how it changes in the next few years.
Smart wearbals differ from the smartphone in another important way – people do not give them any crowd to upgrade them. In the second pole, more than half of the voters will keep their wearer this year.

Asked about the plan to upgrade this year, we set a relatively short deadline. But reading through the comments, it is clear that many watches/bands are used which are 3, 4 or 5 years old. Smartphones upgrade cycles are getting long, but they are not yet at that level.
Only 7% of the voters must be buying their first smart wearer this year, which shows that the market is getting saturated – everyone who wanted one is already one. Of course, our audience is more and more technology-lover, so buying in more technical gadgets is not a surprise.
