Primate Labs, the creator of Geekbench, has introduced a new AI benchmark test called Geekbench AI. It’s available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux and will show you how quickly your device can handle real-world machine-learning tasks.

The new benchmarking tool was previously known as Geekbench ML during its preview phase and is now available for general use. It assesses the performance of the CPU, GPU, and NPU in machine learning tasks and generates its score based on accuracy and speed.

Each test run on Geekbench AI provides three scores – single precision, half-precision, and quantized. The scores also include an accuracy measure, which allows one to see how accurately the models can complete the task and also compare relative efficiency over time.

Geekbench AI supports multiple AI frameworks, including CoreML for macOS and iOS, OpenVINO for Windows and Linux, QNN for Snapdragon-powered Arm PCs, as well as vendor-specific frameworks for Android devices.

Each workload is tested at least five times to ensure that devices reach their peak during testing. Geekbench AI is integrated into the Geekbench browser and supports cross-comparison between devices.
