Waze’s traffic lights feature continues to roll out to more users | Infinium-tech
Last December, we heard that Waze – a crowd-sourced GPS navigation app – had started testing a feature that shows users traffic lights. Waze – owned by Google Ongoing The feature has been rolling out to more users in multiple countries over the past few months, and a new Reddit thread shows that it’s still slowly rolling it out to users in different regions.
Comments under separate Reddit threads regarding Waze’s traffic light feature suggest that it is being rolled out to users randomly, confirming that the company is still testing it before starting a wider rollout. This explains why there has been no official announcement from Waze yet.

Additionally, the traffic light feature itself is nothing new, as some other navigation apps – including Google Maps – have had it for a while. So if you don’t see traffic lights on Waze even after updating to the latest version, you may want to use Google Maps or another GPS navigation app with traffic light support until then.
