The Sony Xperia 1 VIII is now on pre-order in Europe with a free pair of WH-1000XM6 | Infinium-tech
The Sony Xperia 1 VIII was announced early in the morning and – in typical Sony fashion – the new model won’t actually ship until mid-June. This is later than the Mark 7 and Mark 6, which were announced in mid-May and released in early June. But if you have your mind set on it, you can pre-order it today itself.
The Xperia 1 VIII is available on Amazon UK and Amazon Germany – links below – and will be available on pre-order in other regions as well. For any North American readers seeing this, sorry, this does not include that part of the world.
The good news is that Sony is including a free pair of the WH-1000XM6, which are some of the best over-ear ANC headphones we’ve tested. These have an MSRP of €450 / £400, so that’s a pretty good deal (note that you can get these with about a 15% discount, but getting them for free is still a good deal).
Amazon only has the base 12GB/256GB model. The top-spec 16GB/1TB version will be sold exclusively at Sony stores, so don’t expect to see it anywhere else. However, outside Europe, third-party retailers will also bring 12GB/512GB and 16GB/512GB variants. Whichever model you get, you can add as much storage as you want via the oh-so-rare microSD slot. The phone is available in Graphite Black, Iolite Silver and Garnet Red.
Anyway, you can check out our Sony Xperia 1 VIII review for our thoughts on this unique flagship and tests of its camera, screen, battery, and everything else.
