Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Elite Extreme announced with sizeable performance and efficiency gains | Infinium-tech
Snapdragon 8 Elite Jean 5 can be the best new chipset in Android Real, but Qualcomm is also installing itself towards PC with its X elite series chips. Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Elite Extreme ARM are the latest chipsets for windows on ARM machines and they bring large-scale benefits in performance and efficiency on the first-gene Snapdragon X elite model.
The new X2 series includes three chips with the X2 aristocracy (x2e-80-100), 18-core CPU and X2 elite extreme (x2e-96-100) with X2 aristocrats (x2e-88-100), which also play 18 CPU cores. All three new chips are spread over the 3 Nm process of TSMC.
Qualcomm claims that the X2 Elite Extreme Ultra-Permina is designed for Windows 11 PC, which dealt with “expert-level workload”, while the regular X2 elite “resource-intensive workload” is for premium PC. Qualcomm also claims “multi-day battery life” for its new chips.
All three x 2 elite SOCs have the facility of Snapdragon 8 Elite Jean 5, third generation Qualcomm Oryan CPU, but up to 18 CPU core at the X2 elite peak.

The X2 Elite Extreme Rapid 4.4GHz clock speed on the prime core, which increases to 5.0GHz and 3.6GHz towards the performance core.
Qualcomm ISO Power is claiming 31% faster CPU performance and is 43% less power draw than the previous generation of X Elite Chips.
The X2 aristocratic chips have an advanced adreno GPU, which will offer a 2.3X increase in the performance of watt and power efficiency per watt and power efficiency compared to the first-gene Snapdragon X Elite Chips in Qualcomm’s claims. You also get Directx 12.2 Ultimate, Vulcan 1.4, and OpenCL 3.0 support.
The new chips get Qualcomm’s latest Hexagon NPU with 80 tops of AI processing, which Qualcomm claims is the fastest NPU in the world for laptops. All three X2 elite chips support LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and facilitates Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Guardian technology for remote management.
The first laptop with X2 elite chips is expected to be launched in spring 2026.
