Samsung Galaxy A16 4G review | Infinium-tech
Introduction
The Galaxy A15 was the major upgrade to the series, bringing a higher-resolution 90Hz AMOLED, 25W fast charging, and more RAM. The Galaxy A16 continues to improve the model with a larger display, ingress security, and longer software support.
The new Galaxy A16 4G looks and feels a lot like the Galaxy A15 4G, but now it’s bigger with a 6.7-inch 1080p 90Hz Super AMOLED screen. Then there’s the Ingress Protection rating – a first for a Galaxy A1x phone. It’s IP54 for basic dust and splash resistance, which may not be excellent, but it’s definitely better than nothing.
The new A16 4G is powered by the Helio G99 chip, which is found inside the Galaxy A15 4G. There’s also the Galaxy A16 5G, which has a separate chip with a 5G modem.
The rest of the specs are also similar to the Galaxy A15 4G – a trio of rear cameras (50MP primary + 5MP UW + 2MP macro), a 13MP selfie, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A16 4G boots Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and Samsung promises 6 major Android upgrades (up from 3 major updates on the A15).
Let’s take a look at the specs sheet.

There is one feature that is gone after the A15, and that is the 3.5mm audio jack. Perhaps it was the cost of entry security, or perhaps it was just a cost-cutting thing, there’s no way to know for sure. But this will definitely be troublesome for many users.
