While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is rumored to be slightly thicker than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold7, a new rumor claims that the Fold8 will have a smaller punch hole in the display for the selfie camera.
The term comes from a trusted tipster ice universeWho said that the diameter of the front camera cutout of the Fold7 is 3.7 mm, while the diameter of the cutout of the Fold8 is only 2.5 mm. The tipster further added that “Samsung appears to have adopted a new technology that significantly reduces the size of the front camera hole.”

The Galaxy Z Fold7 had a 10MP selfie camera in the cutout on the cover display, and it remains to be seen whether the selfie camera will be upgraded on the Fold8, which is rumored to feature a higher-resolution ultrawide camera (50MP vs. 12MP).
The Fold8 is also rumored to measure 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5 mm when unfolded and 158.4 x 72.8 x 9 mm when folded. The Fold7, on the other hand, measured 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.2 mm when unfolded and 158.4 x 72.8 x 8.9 mm when folded.
