Oppo Find X8 Ultra and vivo X200 Ultra won’t officially be sold outside of China, rumor says | Infinium-tech

Oppo recently launched the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro in China and Vivo has done the same with the X200, However, both companies have long been rumored to also be bringing respective Ultra models, which are their absolute flagships for 2025.

And now a new rumor claims that neither the Oppo Find X8 Ultra nor the Vivo X200 Ultra will be officially sold outside China. So if you want a high-end Oppo or Vivo and aren’t in China, the Find X8 Pro and X200 Pro are the best you can get so far.

If this is true, then to say the least it can be said that it is certainly disappointing, but it is not that surprising, as Chinese companies like Oppo and Vivo and Xiaomi have resorted to such tactics before. We assume this all has to do with sales numbers outside China being low enough for these ultra-expensive flagships to be considered not worth the investment in global software optimization, but we can’t help but think. What these companies are missing is the point – halo or aspirational products are not necessarily meant to make huge profits, but can attract a lot of people to a brand, even if most of them are made by the same brand. Will buy cheap products.

With this strategy, people who follow the industry will be disappointed with these brands, while of course people who don’t follow mobile news won’t care at all.
