OnePlus teases 15R and a new smartwatch | Infinium-tech
OnePlus has started teasing two new launches on its website. This includes the new OnePlus 15R smartphone and an unnamed OnePlus smartwatch.

The OnePlus 15R is a known quantity, or at least it seems so based on the teaser image and what we know from the company’s previous R-series devices. The 15R looks similar to the OnePlus Ace 6 that was launched in China last month. Compared to last year’s OnePlus 13R, the Ace 6 has a slightly larger display, a new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and a larger 7800mAh battery with 120W fast charging. However, it loses the rear telephoto camera while retaining the other three cameras on the 13R.
If history repeats itself, the OnePlus 15R will remain a Ace 6 with minor cosmetic differences. It’s possible that OnePlus might want to swap out the cameras with better cameras, but that’s more wishful thinking than anything supported by evidence at present. Even though last year the 13R finally made the leap to a dedicated telephoto, this year you’re still getting two cameras on the back. It seems that OnePlus is intent on putting worse camera hardware on every 15 series device than its predecessor.

Moving forward, OnePlus is also teasing a new smartwatch on its European websites. The page only shows the outline of the device without any details. There isn’t even an official name; OnePlus is simply referring to it as the ‘New Watch’. We expect it to be announced and go on sale alongside the OnePlus 15R
