iPhone 17 lineup detailed in new rumor, next iPhone SE tags along | Infinium-tech
Apple hasn’t yet launched the iPhone 16 family – which will likely arrive in September – but we’ve already heard some rumours about the iPhone 17 series, which is set to be unveiled in September next year.
Now another rumor from famous Chinese leaker Ice Universe has shed some light on all the members of the family, and added an additional detail about the next iPhone SE – it will apparently have an OLED screen, a first for Apple’s affordable lineup.
The ‘vanilla’ iPhone 17 will feature an LTPO display for the first time, coming with a 120Hz maximum but variable refresh rate, as has been the case with most Android flagships for the past few years. Ice Universe says this makes it possible to add always-on display support, though Apple may decide to gatekeep this for the Pro. The iPhone 17 gets 8GB of RAM and an A19 chip.
Talking about the Pro, it will get A19 Pro chip, 12GB RAM and three 48 MP cameras – wide, tele and ultrawide. Finally, the already rumored iPhone 17 Slim, which can also be called iPhone 17 Ultra, will be an ultra-thin model with a completely new design.
Since there is no mention of a complete redesign for any other family member, we assume the Slim/Ultra will be the only models to feature the new design language, which may or may not be rolled out to all other models in 2026.
