One UI 7 changes refresh rate settings for games | Infinium-tech
Samsung has just released the second beta of One UI 7, its skin on top of Android 15, and a new feature included in this beta changes the way the refresh rate is set for games.
In older versions of One UI, you could limit the frame rate in games to 48 Hz to save power. With the new version of the skin, you get to choose between 60Hz and 120Hz, and nothing else.
One UI 7 Gaming Motion Smoothness Settings
You can find this setting in the Gaming Hub/Game Booster app under Gaming Motion Smoothness. Samsung says this feature will not affect games that have their own refresh rate settings. And if you flip this switch, games that don’t support going above 60Hz won’t magically start working at 120Hz.
You can now adjust performance settings like maximum frame rate, resolution, and overall optimization level for each game separately through Game Booster.
