iPhone 16 passes durability test with flying colors | Infinium-tech
It’s been a long time since the iPhone 16 launched, so you might have been anxiously awaiting JerryRig Everything’s trademark “durability test” by now. Well, the wait is finally over.
The cheapest iPhone of the 2024 generation has now become a victim of scratches, burns and bending (hopefully not the previous one). If you have popcorn, this is the video.
If you couldn’t watch for whatever reason, here’s a quick summary of what happened. Apple’s Ceramic Shield glass protection for the screen withstands scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deep grooves at level 7, just like any other glass, but the scratches are much less pronounced.
The frame is aluminum (85% of which is recycled), the screen takes and survives an open flame, and finally – the phone is unbending from both the front and back.
