New Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra teardown praises how easy it is to replace the battery | Infinium-tech
A few days ago we shared a teardown/disassembly video for the ‘vanilla’ Samsung Galaxy S26, and today the folks at iFixit have published their own teardown video of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

As usual, the entry point is from the rear, after heating the adhesive that holds the rear glass in place. The display connector can only be accessed from the back, which means you can’t just replace the screen – you basically have to take apart the entire phone to access the screen’s connector.
Samsung’s battery release system is praised, and is also said to be simpler than Apple’s. The USB port is very easy to remove and replace in case of damage. All cameras are connected to the mainboard from the bottom, so if you need to replace the camera you will have to take out the mainboard first.
However, the selfie camera doesn’t go off smoothly at all. And the same applies for screens. Finally, the S26 Ultra gets a provisional repairability score of 5 out of 10, where 10 would be the most repairable and 0 would be the least repairable. If Samsung took spare parts availability more seriously, this would increase to 6 out of 10, which would be on par with the Pixel 10 family and one point less than the latest iPhones.
