iPhone Ultra battery capacity leaks | Infinium-tech
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, one of Apple’s usual battery suppliers just had a pair of batteries certified together, which means they’re meant for a foldable smartphone (since these have split batteries due to the form factor).
The batteries in question have a rated capacity of 1,921 mAh and 2,962 mAh respectively, giving us a total of 4,883 mAh. This is the rated capacity, meaning the typical advertised capacity would be 5,000 mAh. So this is most likely what the iPhone Ultra will claim.

Interestingly, this is roughly the same battery capacity as the rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, even though it has a different aspect ratio (it’s actually the successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7). Samsung’s direct iPhone Ultra competitor is the Galaxy Z Fold8, which is rumored to have a 4,800 mAh battery.
The iPhone Ultra is expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September. Despite some previous rumors claiming that it would be delayed, the latest reports suggest that it will arrive on schedule.
