Instagram for TV announced, brings Reels to the big screen | Infinium-tech
Instagram has announced a new app designed for larger screens, called Instagram for TV. At the moment, the app is limited to watching Reels, though the company says additional features are in development.
The Instagram for TV app is currently available for testing on Amazon Fire TV devices in the US. The company said the app will be expanded to more devices and regions in the coming months.

The app currently allows users to add up to five accounts or create a dedicated account specifically for the TV experience. The reels are organized into different channels based on the user’s interest.
Instagram for TV also includes a search feature, which enables users to find creators, profiles, and topics of interest. The company plans to introduce additional features in the future such as using the phone as a remote, shared feeds, and better navigation.

The app follows the PG-13 rating system and provides teen users with the same safety protections available on mobile apps, including limited access to content, comments, and profiles deemed inappropriate for users under 18.
