Google rolls out Gmail Q&A on Android, a new way to search your inbox with Gemini | Infinium-tech
Today Google announced the launch of Gmail Q&A on Android. It’s “a new way to explore your inbox with Gemini.” It’s basically exactly what it sounds like: you can ask Gemini questions about your inbox in Gmail for Android.
You can ask questions about anything related to your email. This was previously available in Gmail on the web via a side panel in Gemini. Gmail Q&A for Android is like that, but on your phone. The feature will also be available in iOS “soon”.
In addition to asking Gemini questions, you can also have it do things like find specific details in your email, show unread emails, only see emails from a specific sender, or give you a summary of emails about a specific topic.
To open Gemini in the Gmail app on Android, tap the black Gemini star in the top right or tap the “Summarize this email” chip. The rollout will take 15 days to complete and be visible to everyone. Note that you must have Google One AI Premium, or subscribe to Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium to get access to this feature.
