Google Pixel 9 Pro XL survives bending from both sides in durability test | Infinium-tech
Yesterday Google finally officially launched the Pixel 9 family after months of leaks. And now, the Pixel 9 Pro XL has been subjected to the usual ‘durability test’ by Zack of the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in a new box style, and also has a new design, with flat sides and a larger 3.5mm thick camera bump. The phone’s screen has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top, which is scratch-resistant at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deeper grooves starting at level 7.
The frame is of course metal, with plastic cutouts here and there for the antennas. The camera bump is metal on the sides and on the right-hand end, and the top of the cameras is of course glass.

The screen withstands lighter heat for up to 30 seconds without any damage, which is something we don’t see very often. Finally, the bend test. The Pixel 9 Pro XL survives being bent from both sides without any issues, and thus passes this durability test with flying colors.
