EU advises member states against using Chinese networking equipment | Infinium-tech
We’ve been hearing about an EU-wide ban on Chinese 5G networking equipment for some time now, and the European Commission (EC) has now recommended that member states exclude Huawei and ZTE gear from their local telecom infrastructure.
The information was shared by an EC spokesperson and although it is not an official binding law, it signals a clear move towards banning Chinese networking equipment from suppliers like Huawei and ZTE throughout the EU.

The EU is in the process of implementing a new round of cybersecurity measures targeting supply chain security and product safety. These include the amended Cyber Security Act (CSA 2.0), which aims to introduce a supply chain security framework to identify “high-risk suppliers” and foreign interference in critical sectors such as telecommunications.
Chinese officials have done this before caution Possible countermeasures considering EU policies towards Chinese networking equipment vendors as “discriminatory” and harmful to EU-China trade and cooperation.
