iOS 27 to bring customization to the camera app | Infinium-tech
Apple is unveiling iOS 27 on June 8, and there’s a new report from the usually very reliable Mark Gurman bloomberg Gives us more information about it. According to him, the camera app will become customizable in iOS 27. You’ll be able to choose which features you want to see in the app and where they are placed. This obviously includes controls for flash, exposure, timer, night mode, live photos, and resolution.

You’ll also get a new Siri mode in the camera app, along with the usual photo and video options. This will let you use its visual intelligence capabilities to recognize where you’re pointing your phone’s camera, or translate text.
iOS 27 will also reportedly include “noticeable design changes” when it comes to Siri, system search, as well as apps like Safari, Image Playground, and Weather. There will also be new animations and a “redesigned tab bar”. These UI changes are “meant to streamline the Liquid Glass design language,” says Gurman.
Siri will be completely redesigned in iOS 27, turning into a full-fledged chatbot powered by Google’s Gemini model. This will be found in the dynamic island interface, and as already rumored, you’ll be able to toggle between Siri’s built-in model and third-party offerings like ChatGPT. Siri will also have a standalone app for the first time.
Safari will get a new start page with four tabs at the top, showing Favorites, Bookmarks, your saved reading list of articles, and your browsing history. The Weather app will have a new conditions panel on the main page for cities, and the Image Playground has been completely redesigned.
