Apple Sports app expands to more than 90 new countries and regions, gets features for FIFA World Cup 2026 | Infinium-tech
Apple has announced that the Apple Sports app, introduced in 2024, is now available to download from the App Store in more than 170 countries and territories after expanding into more than 90 new markets.
Apple is also making it easier for fans to follow the FIFA World Cup 2026, which begins on June 11, by allowing them to explore tournament groupings and customize their scoreboard by following the entire tournament or their favorite national teams in the Apple Sports app.
When you follow a team in the Apple Sports app, live activities are enabled and shown on your iPhone’s lock screen or Apple Watch. You can also add widgets to your iPhone, iPad, and MacBook home screen to track FIFA World Cup 2026 progress in real-time.

Additionally, Apple Sports App users can instantly switch to Apple TV with a single tap to find live matches on connected streaming services during the World Cup.
