Apple denies Elon Musk’s claims of OpenAI favoritism | Infinium-tech
Elon Musk made headlines earlier this week as she blamed Apple in favor of Openai and pushing the chat on top of the App Store Chart. Musk claimed that XAI “would take immediate legal action” that he described as a no -confidence violation.
While there is no official confirmation whether XAI and Musk will follow with their claims, Apple released one Official response Through Bloomberg (Paywall), who denied any partiality for Openai or any other app.

Apple and Openai announced their strategic partnership in WWDC 24, which integrated the Chatgpt in the Apple ecosystem. While there is no monetary advantage for any company, Openai gained more exposure and chat is being promoted at the app store.

Apple has previously confirmed that it is planning to integrate the AI model from Google to APTH from APTH. Musk’s recent comments were not responsible for other AI apps such as Deepsek and Perplexity, which topped the #1 overall list of the App Store earlier this year.
