You can now talk to Spotify | Infinium-tech
Spotify is rolling out a new feature starting today. Basically, it’s a built-in AI chatbot that lets you talk to Spotify in both Home view and Now Playing. It will be available only on mobile.
However, you’re not limited to talking – you can also type your requests or questions. You can have back-and-forth conversations with Spotify, just like you can with any other AI chatbot.
You can learn more about your favorite music, revisit your listening history, go deeper on podcasts and audiobooks – or just ask to listen to some artists you’ve never heard before. Once the playlist is in place, you can continuously fine-tune it.
You can save songs, add them to your queue, follow artists, all of it – just by telling Spotify what you want (or typing it in). When you’re listening to something, you can ask about the song – like what was the inspiration behind it, what genre it is, when the album was released, things like that.
Spotify can give you more context, guide you to related artists and stories, and when it comes to a podcast or audiobook you can ask about the people, stories, and ideas behind it. And yes, Spotify can answer questions about your tastes.
It is available in a beta version in English for premium users over 18 years of age in the US, Ireland and Sweden on iOS and Android. It’s unclear how long the beta will last or when it will be available in other markets.
