Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ review | Infinium-tech
Introduction
The Redmi Note 15 series has arrived in markets outside China a month or so earlier than the usual 12-month cycle used by Xiaomi. Still, according to Xiaomi, we can expect a generational upgrade in more than one aspect. Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the first phone in the series that we will review.

But before we start, we want to clarify that the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is not the same as the international model we are reviewing today. In fact, the global variant seems to be a toned-down version of its Chinese counterpart, with a dedicated telephoto camera and a larger battery. Again, the global unit gets slightly faster charging and a larger 200MP main sensor.
Back to the Global Pro+, the subject of our review. Compared to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, it brings a larger and brighter 6.83-inch display, a newer and more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a larger battery, and higher intrusion security.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ specs at a glance:
- Body: 163.3×78.3×8.2 mm, 207 g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), glass back (Gorilla Glass) or silicone polymer back (Eco Leather); IP68/IP69K dust-resistant and water-resistant (high-pressure water jets; submersible up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes), manufacturer-rated water-resistant (up to 2 meters for 24 hours), drop-resistant up to 2.5 meters.

- Connectivity: 5G; é SIM; Wi-Fi zone; BT 5.4; NFC; Infrared port.
- various: Fingerprint reader (under the display, optical); Stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos).
Some users will appreciate the larger screen and will definitely use the upgraded 6,500 mAh battery. Sadly, the charging rate has been reduced from 120W to 100W, but as is often the case, the charging rating is only half the story, hence why we’re doing this review.

The camera system is largely unchanged, although there is a new 200MP sensor behind the lens. The new model also brings some video recording improvements. We wish Xiaomi would finally ditch the old 8MP ultrawide camera.
Without further ado, let’s take an in-depth look at what the top-end Redmi Note has to offer.
Unboxing the Redmi Note 15 Pro+
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ review unit we received came with a proper 100W charger inside along with a USB-A to USB-C cable. There is also a protective silicone case.

Keep in mind that in some markets like Europe, the charger may not be bundled, so you’ll have to purchase it separately if you want the fastest possible charging.
