Xiaomi Mix Flip is coming to Europe, will cost EUR 1,300 | Infinium-tech
Last week Xiaomi launched its first clamshell, the Mix Flip. We attended the event and tried to find out any details about the international launch, but officials were not ready to discuss the matter publicly.
Today, we’ve received confirmation that the device will indeed come outside of China as well. A Xiaomi country manager revealed during a press event in Bulgaria that five markets in Central and Eastern Europe will be the first to see the phone, priced at BGN 2,600 (around €1,300 or $1,400).
Xiaomi has launched the Mix Flip with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 4″ cover display. The foldable panel inside is a 6.86″ OLED with 3,000 nits of peak brightness and supports up to a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The screen wraps around both cameras at the back, which are 50 MP each – one is the main wide shooter with PDAF and OIS, and the other is a telephoto camera for portrait shots with 2x optical zoom and PDAF.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip has three memory combinations, but the Xiaomi representative did not say which of these combinations will be available internationally.
We’ve already used the Mix Flip and found it to be lightweight and comfortable to hold. The frame is mostly flat and has no sharp corners. The hinge can be angled at any angle between 45 and 135 degrees and has a very satisfying snap when it closes at 180 degrees without any gaps.
The preview lacks a comprehensive verdict as we just received the phone for review. Our team is already working on it, so stay tuned for a final verdict on whether this is the foldable you’ve always been looking for.
