Xiaomi is ready with HyperOS 2 and it’s shifting its focus on HyperOS 3, ends support for 9 phones | Infinium-tech
On Xiaomi’s feedback app, a user got interesting information about Xiaomi’s plans about hyperose. It turns out, the company has officially terminated the development of Hyperos 2 and is rebelling all its resources on Hyperos 3.
It seems that Xiaomi is performed with Hyperos 2 as all phones are entitled to OS updates, so it is obtained, so it is time to focus on bringing Hyperos 3 based on Android 16 on time. Additionally, a member of the developer team clarified that users should not expect any more hyperose 2 improvement updates.
Instead, the company will focus on addressing all known issues with Hyperos 3. Major reforms include enhanced animation lubricating and visual effects, better systems accountability, a sophisticated UI and a customized user experience. To be fair, some of them are unclear.
In particular, Xiaomi can name its upcoming OS Hyperos 26 to suit the release year.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not announced the release timeline, so we do not know which phones will get the first updates.
On a semi-related note, nine Xiaomi devices are receiving their final updates this year. It is the end of the road for Redmi A1, A1+, Poco C50, Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, Mi 11 Lite 5G NE, Mi 11 Le, Poco M5, and Redmi 11 Prime 4G. All these devices will get their final security patch in this September.
