Xiaomi 17 Ultra to arrive way earlier than its predecessor | Infinium-tech
Xiaomi 15 was launched in China in late October last year. It then made its way to the global markets in February when the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was also introduced. However, things were quite different this year, with the 17 launching earlier in September in China. This makes us wonder if the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will arrive again in February.
Obviously, the answer is no. According to a prolific leaker circulated by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be made official in China in December. This could mean that it will only launch in China at that time, and its global release could still happen at a later date.

It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and will have 100W wired charging support. It is also rumored to get a new 50 MP main camera with better in-sensor zoom, a new 200 MP telephoto macro camera, an ultrawide, and perhaps a short-range telephoto. Screen-wise, the specs are expected to be similar to the display of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. If you’re interested in learning more about that device, don’t miss our recently published full review.
