Xiaomi 17 Ultra said to offer upgraded Leica optics | Infinium-tech
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch in China later this month, with the latest rumor pointing to a launch in the fourth week of December. Ahead of the expected launch, new information about the phone’s camera setup has surfaced online.
According to a tipster, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will have a new Leica lens coating that will provide better clarity, less reflections, and minimal chromatic aberrations.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra has dual telephoto cameras
Recent rumors have also suggested that the upcoming Ultra phone will come with a triple rear camera setup. Notably, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was said to offer a quad-rear camera unit with dual telephoto cameras. The upcoming 17 Ultra will reportedly come equipped with a single telephoto sensor.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It is expected to have a larger capacity battery, a flat display, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, satellite connectivity, and other improvements.
This phone will join the recently launched Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
