Xiaomi 15 Ultra again rumored to sport a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera | Infinium-tech
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra could arrive sooner than its predecessors, and it’s rumoured to pack a significant upgrade over the 14 Ultra: a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera.
A new report today ‘confirms’ this information as much as any unconfirmed rumor could. The new camera will enable a 10x option in the viewfinder, and this level of magnification will be achieved through a combination of optical zoom and in-sensor zoom.
Xiaomi may or may not market it as “lossless,” and we’re not going to debate the accuracy of that term. We just like to get excited about the quality of zoomed-in shots we should get from Xiaomi’s next Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
The 200 MP periscope telephoto was introduced by the Vivo X100 Ultra in May, and now it looks like Xiaomi liked this innovation so much that it is willing to follow suit.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra should feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. According to today’s rumors, its main camera will use an upgraded version of the Sony LYT-900 sensor, and it will bring better low-light performance than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
It will also feature 4K cinematic video mode, high-resolution slow-motion video, and an advanced selfie camera – possibly a 50 MP shooter.
