Xiaomi 15 series ace gaming tests ahead of launch | Infinium-tech
We’re just days away from the launch of the Xiaomi 15 series, which will be the first phones to launch with the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. If you were wondering how the new chip performs on the gaming front, digital chat station Shared some early stress tests showcasing the strengths of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.
The Xiaomi 15 ran Genshin Impact at maximum settings with an average of 59.9 FPS. Impressively, the chip’s power consumption exceeded 4W, and it reached a maximum temperature of only 39°C. We can see the Snapdragon 8 Elite stacking up well with the Dimensity 9400 with matching average FPS while drawing less power.

However, the latest Qualcomm chip consumes significantly more power than the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 throughout testing.
The tests also included runs of Honor of Kings, which topped out at an average of 119.8 fps with 3.65W of power and a maximum temperature of 37.9 degrees Celsius. The third test involved a round of Honkai: Star Rails, which achieved an average of 59.8 fps and 4.53W power draw.

The Xiaomi 15 also ran the 3D Mark Steel Nomad GPU test and achieved an impressive score of 2,530 points with an average of 18.7 FPS, beating last year’s iPhone 15 Pro.

The Xiaomi 15 prototype had previously shown its strength in a Geekbench run and scored an impressive single-core score of 3,180 and multi-core score of 10,058.
