WhatsApp will add voice chat mode for Meta AI with ten different voices | Infinium-tech
WhatsApp is currently working on adding a voice chat mode for the Meta AI chatbot, which lives within the messaging app in some markets.
In a future update of WhatsApp, this will be enabled and you will also be able to choose the voice for the AI chatbot. Obviously, being able to use your voice to interact with Meta AI will make such conversations much simpler than when you have to text.
The option to choose the Meta AI’s voice is available in the 2.24.17.16 update of the WhatsApp beta for Android, which you can get if you have an Android device (of course) and you enroll it in the beta via the Play Store – that said, note that enrollment isn’t open all the time.
When the feature comes to WhatsApp for Android for everyone, it will allow you to choose from ten voices for the Meta AI. The voices are not named, but each of them has a different colored circle to represent them, as you can see from the screenshot above.
Since we only have screenshots right now, we can’t tell you what the differences in the voices will be, but we assume you’ll get a variety of accents and tones.
