WhatsApp now lets you summarize unread messages with the help of AI | Infinium-tech
Last month, we came to know that WhatsApp was working on a feature that would briefly tell users to briefly convey the adornment messages in chat, allowing them to quickly catch the conversation. Well, the development and testing of this feature is now complete, as WhatsApp has officially announced its stable release.
WhatsApp is calling this feature a “message summary”, which briefly uses the until the until “private and quickly” meta AI in a chat. The GIF below shows how it works. You can tap on the count of the until you in the chat, and the WhatsApp will generate a bulletized summary of messages.
The message summary feature uses the private processing technique of the meta, allowing the meta AI to generate the message summary. WhatsApp claims that this technique also ensures that third party cannot read your messages or summary, not even meta or WhatsApp. People in the chat cannot see your message summary either.
In addition, the message summary feature is optional and closed by default, and you can use the “Advanced Chat Privacy” setting to decide which chats can be shared for AI features.
WhatsApp said the message summary is available to users in the US in the English language, and it is planning to expand the availability of other regions with the support of more languages later this year.
