WhatsApp introduces incognito chats with Meta AI | Infinium-tech
Today, WhatsApp has announced the launch of Secret Chats with Meta AI. As the name suggests, these are private chats with the Meta chatbot inside WhatsApp. And when we say private, we mean “really private,” as Meta bills them – no one can read these chats, not even Meta (if you take their word for it, of course).
Interestingly, Meta says that other stealth-style modes for competing AI chatbots can’t compete because the creators of those chatbots “can still see questions coming in and answers going out”.
Secret chats with Meta AI, on the other hand, are “processed in a secure environment that even Meta cannot access”. These conversations are not saved and the messages in them disappear by default.
The next step, coming in the next few months, is “side chat protected by personal processing”. These “side chats” will provide “personal help to any chat in the context of what’s being discussed, without disrupting the main conversation,” says Meta.
