Weekly poll results: Samsung One UI voted as best Android skin | Infinium-tech
We asked for your opinion on the best Android skins last week, and the results are in. Samsung’s One UI received 41% of all votes, making it the clear winner. Google’s Pixel UI comes in second place with 20% of all votes and is the only other option with a double-digit share.

From there, your votes determined the custom ROM as the third best option. We are surprised by this development as the custom ROM sector has generally been in decline over the past few years. Still, custom ROMs like LineageOS are a great option for older devices, allowing you to run newer versions of Android while providing important security updates.
Nothing OS is in third place, and we can see why – the minimalist UI and dot-matrix design give the Nothing phone a radically different look, which seems to be garnering its own fan base. About the same number of users don’t actually care about the skin at all.

This actually dovetails well with our other weekly survey question: How important is an Android skin? There seems to be some polarized opinions here as over 43% of voters feel that Android skins are important but not a deal breaker.
On the other hand, about 40% have a strong preference towards a specific skin and only buy devices running on that version. Therefore, we can safely conclude that Android skin is an important decision when choosing a new phone.
Jumping back into the popularity contest, Oppo’s ColorOS came in fourth place on the list, beating Xiaomi HyperOS, Motorola Hello UI, Honor’s MagicOS, and Sony’s Xperia UI. The least popular skin on the list is Vivo’s ColorOS.
