Weekly poll: iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, love them or hate them? | Infinium-tech
The iOS 26 is longed as the largest overhaul of Apple’s smartphone operating system. It is also part of an attempt to create an integrated UI on all Apple platforms. What do you think about it?
The new UI called Liquid Glass was inspired by Visionos (for Apple’s XR headset) and has already been applied to Apple’s first-party apps (Google may slow down slightly to adopt the latest Android UI design language).
We have seen that people admire people who hate it with a new form and so we wanted to get your opinion. Those who like it say that liquidity is great and the new UI uses space better (such as a small tab bar in safari). Those who do not point to things like heritage issues due to all being transported. And many people are making “iOS Vista” jokes.
Liquid Glass is an integrated UI design language for all apple platforms, not only iOS
The iOS is more than just 26 than just liquid glass. For example, it adds the game app, the arcade, plays together and the library tab helps you find new titles and play with friends.
The wallet app received a new boarding pass UI with a map for airports. Speaking, maps can learn your favorite routes. Visual intelligence received more equipment. A spam-fighting call screening feature was included, when you put on hold, it also helps. Carplay is also adopting liquid glass design language, by the way.
iOS 26 is not yet widely available – it has been launched as a developer beta, coming an open beta next month. The final update must be ready in the decline, just in time for the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
Are you excited to try liquid glass and iOS 26? Or do you think Apple has made things worse?
