Vivo X fold 5 has arrived – it is thin, more powerful and more durable than its predecessor. It was earlier unveiled in China today and is expected to run at the footsteps of the X Fold 3 Pro and will soon get a wide release.

The Vivo X fold is 5 slimmer – it is 9.2 mm folded and 4.3 mm is revealed for the Titanium version, which is also slightly lighter at 217g. White and green pine versions are 9.7 mm bent/4.55 mm unfold and slightly thicker and heavy at 226g. For comparison, the Vivo X fold 3 (which was thin and lighter than the X fold 3 Pro) was measured 10.2 mm/4.7 mm and weighed 219 grams. Kaj is made of high -power steel and carbon fiber which is as durable and lighter as possible.

Well, this is not the thinnest horizontal foldable, but practical ideas can win finally. For example, Vivo Engineers have managed to find space for 40W fast wireless charging in addition to 80W wired charging, which could be useful.
Going back to the display, the inner panel is an Ltpo OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,480 x 2,200px resolution (10.1: 9 aspect ratio) and 10-bit colors. Peak local brightness is 4,500 knits.
The cameras made a 50MP main boast with 1/1.56 “Sony IMX921 sensor and a Zeiss T* coated f/1.57 lens.” The Zeiss Super Telephoto “module is a 3x periscope lens (f/2.55) with OIS and a 50MP 1/1.95” Sony IMX82 sensor.
