vivo V40 and V40 Pro launch on August 7 | Infinium-tech

Vivo’s V40 has been official in parts of the world for about a month now, and it’s now getting ready to land in India, where it’s officially launching on August 7. But it won’t be alone – it’ll also be joined by the V40 Pro, which will make its global debut in India. The V40 Pro recently appeared on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. The non-Pro V40 comes with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 instead.

Both the V40 and V40 Pro have 5,500 mAh batteries with 80W wired charging support (and Vivo claims they are the thinnest to pack such a punch in India), and 50 MP cameras. While the V40 has to make do with two on the back (a main and an ultrawide), the V40 Pro adds a 2x optical zoom (and 50x digital zoom) telephoto using the Sony IMX816 sensor. Both phones have a 50 MP selfie snapper and IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

The Pro will be offered in Ganga Blue and Lotus Purple colours. The vanilla model may also be available in these colours, it is not clear yet Vivo’s teaser website Which covers both devices.
