The Honor Robot Phone was used at the Shanghai International Film Festival | Infinium-tech
At Cannes China Night, Honor revealed that its robot phone will launch in the third quarter (July-September). The phone participated in another cinematic event, the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), to showcase its photo and video skills.

The phone was chosen for its unique gimbal system, which provides better stability during handheld shots. This reduces the need for digital stabilization. Because digital stabilization is done by cropping and sacrificing image quality, the less it is used, the better the final image quality.

That’s not all – in March, Honor officially partnered with ARRI, one of the most famous manufacturers of Hollywood cameras. The Honor Robot Phone is the first device developed as part of the Honor-ARRI partnership.
More Honor phones and robots at SIFF
If you click on photos from the event, you’ll notice there was more Honor hardware in attendance than robot phones – some of the photos were shot with the Honor Magic 8 Pro. You can also see the Honor robot (in red) that recently won the half marathon in which both robots and humans were competing.
The main feature of Honor Robot Phone is Gimbal Camera. The gimbal is made of titanium alloy and powered by high-performance motors. It can fit into the phone’s body for protection and can be extended if needed. Apart from stabilization, it can also use AI object tracking algorithms to track objects.
