The Honor Magic8 Lite will have an even bigger battery in Latin America | Infinium-tech
The Honor Magic8 Lite will follow in the footsteps of the Magic8 Pro – no, not a good thing. Honor has confirmed to us that the Lite phones sold in Europe will have smaller batteries than the Lite phones sold in Latin America.
It also affects weight. The European Magic8 Lite units will have a 7,500mAh battery and weigh 189 grams. The battery sold in the Latin America region will have an 8,300mAh battery and weigh 193 grams.

There’s no third option, at least for now… The Magic 8 Pro for China has a 7,200mAh battery, the global model has a 7,100mAh battery, and the EU model has a 6,270mAh battery.
Well, different Pro models also have different charging speeds (120W China, 100W EU/ROW), but that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Lite, which will only feature 66W wired charging globally.
In our review of the Honor Magic8 Lite, we tested the 7,500mAh variant (EU), which achieved a great result – an active usage score of 18 hours. The Latin America version should last longer. Charging is also quite fast, reaching 49% in half an hour and taking 1 hour 10 minutes to fully charge. If charge rating is truly unaffected, the LATAM model should be slightly slower.
By the way, Honor has so far only officially confirmed the European launch of the Magic8 Lite (expected in January). This is an indirect confirmation that the model is also coming to Latin America. Launch details to follow.
