A massive camera upgrade has been rumored for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra – the latest report is that only the ultra wide camera will be upgraded to a 50MP sensor (ISOCELL JN3) and that’s it. The main camera will reuse the 200MP ISOCELL HP2, the 10MP module will retain the 10MP Sony IMX754, the 5x module will likewise retain its 50MP IMX854 sensor.

This matches the design language we’ve seen in renders of other S25 models. It’s similar in design to the Galaxy Z Fold6, though without the extra bulges around all the cameras. This means that the cases must be able to make the back lie completely flat.

The layout of the cameras will remain the same, so the Galaxy S25 phones still look pretty much the same. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will differ from its predecessors with rounded corners and the promise of improved ergonomics that include reducing the width and weight of the device.
