Tecno’s Camon 50 series was supposed to be unveiled at MWC next month, but the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro are already official in several markets in Africa. The pair have similar specifications, but the Pro model gets a curved screen and a 3x telephoto camera.

The Camon 50 Pro is built around a curved 6.78″ AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel houses a 32MP selfie camera and an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. The non-Pro model features the same screen specs, selfie cam, and fingerprint scanner, but opts for a flat panel instead of curved.
Both phones are equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G200 Ultimate chipset along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

On the back, both have 50MP main cameras (23mm equivalent) equipped with Sony’s LYT700C (1/1.56″) sensor and OIS. They also get an 8MP ultrawide sensor (14mm) with an f/2.2 aperture. The Camon 50 Pro has a third shooter – a 70mm equivalent 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

Both phones boot HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and Tecno’s AI suite. The pair also shares a 6,150mAh battery with 45W wired charging as well as IP69K/IP69/IP68 ingress protection.
