T-Mobile’s T-Satellite service is now available to everyone | Infinium-tech
T-Mobile today announced the general availability of the T-Satellite, its satellite communication service after the testing months with 30,000 daily active users. Overall, 2 million people have already tried it at their test phase.
Interestingly, three times more messages were sent to the T-Satellite. T-satellite uses more than 650 less-earth orbital satellites that originally acts like cell towers. T-Mobile bills it as the “largest satellite-to-mobile planetarium”.

It works on more than 60 phones, with no app required, both Android running and iPhone. The T-Satellite provides texting service “as you do normally”. When in the range, it automatically connects, and when it is connected you will see the “set” icon. Since satellites are moving forward, there may be less gaps in service, but your phone will keep trying to send your message until it is successful.
T-satellite is beyond the T-Mobile experience and included in the GO5G plans, as well as more customer experiences that were part of beta. If you are on another plan, you can add satellite support for $ 10 per month. Even non-Castmerrs can get “T-Satalites” for a single price “for a limited time”. Currently this service covers continental US and Puerto Rico, Hawaii and “parts of Southern Alaska”.
