Sony Xperia 1 VIII gets prematurely listed by Amazon revealing pricing and the release date | Infinium-tech
The upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VIII has been mistakenly listed by Amazon in both Germany and the UK. The listing reveals a release date of June 26. The price is crazy: €1,868.99 in Germany, £1,728 in the UK.
However, keep in mind that prices may only be placeholders – sometimes such preliminary listings do their best to approximate the official price, and are not necessarily a good indication of what it will be. As noted, these prices also include a pair of Sony WH1000XM6 headphones bundled with the phone.
According to the listing, the Xperia 1 VIII sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a triple rear camera system consisting of a 16mm ultrawide, 24mm main camera and a new 70mm telephoto camera. It also has “Xperia AI”, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the promise of “2-day battery”.
The handset will apparently come in Graphite Black, Iolite Silver and Garnet Red. All this information comes from Amazon listings, and unfortunately none of them come with any images of the phone. The images above are from a previous leak, which shows that Sony is working on a new design for the camera island of this device.
